Lawyer Indrit Sefa said the majority did not have the numbers in the Tirana Municipal Council to dismiss Erion Veliaj.
Sefa also blamed right-wing advisors for not having requested Veliaj's presence at the meeting where he was fired.
" The Constitutional Court has ruled that all decision-making reached in the Municipal Council has violated the law. It has repealed a provision of the article on the 3-month absence from work. In the Council, the opposition is not only for the opposition, but to guarantee a legal process. The opposition, out of a great desire to dismiss Veliaj, turned a blind eye to this case. It was not at fault for wanting to remove Veliaj. In the Council, the opposition should have requested Veliaj's physical presence ," Sefa said on A2 CNN.
