Renowned actor Mehdi Malkaj, speaking at the protest called by the Democratic Party against the closure of TikTok, highlighted the lack of citizen participation in this protest.
" Why don't you citizens come out to protest, what has TikTok done to you that you don't come out to protest? Look at what the Greeks are doing in Athens, for an event that happened 5 years ago they stood up and burned Athens. Look at what is happening in Belgrade, whether we are angry with them or not, give them what they deserve. The Serbs came out to protest and they made the Government and Aleksandar Vučić not know where to hide ," said Malkaj.
The actor then said, "Where are the Albanians?"
" This one is not angry with TikTok, but the one who got his ass kicked where it is, this one is angry because we have TikTok. Because he doesn't administer it, because he's the one who makes it whole. The one who will one day take away our air. Nothing is done without protest. But why are we sheep? We are not a tribe of sheep, we are a tribe of brave people. I am brave because I stand up to him and my eyelashes don't flutter ," said actor Mehdi Malkaj.
