Prime Minister Edi Rama will not be present at tomorrow's protest taking place in Tirana in support of the KLA.
The news was announced from the parliament's rostrum by the leader of the socialist group, Taulant Balla, responding to the Democratic Party's request for a motion with debate on the genocide in Kosovo. In his speech, the leader of the SP parliamentary group said that nothing good comes from Sali Berisha regarding Kosovo.
"The Assembly has approved from 1991 to 2025, 9 resolutions and 11 declarations regarding everything that has happened in Kosovo. All positions at the right time and on the right issue for the situation and the support that Kosovo required. I would ask that before we vote on this next request of yours, you read them. Nothing that comes from Sali Berisha when it comes to Kosovo will ever come to good."
According to him, the DP's decision to boycott the protest in support of the KLA confirms its stance against the interest of Kosovo, while inviting them to join the protest, since the head of government will not participate in it. Balla also asked them to hold a protest in another country in support of Kosovo to show that this is an issue that unites us.
"Your decision of the DP made public yesterday to boycott the nationwide protest in support of the KLA is a confirmation of the stance against the interest of Kosovo, since you will not be on the side of the prime minister, the prime minister will not be at the protest tomorrow. Come on, why don't you come? Of course, on the condition that we do not politicize it. Hold a protest tomorrow too since you do not want to come with the organizations and veterans of the KLA war. Do not come to the square with us, but do it in the SHQUP or in another square and on this occasion you will get more. Because this is an issue that unites us that the Albanian people call: One nation, one stance."
