The leader of the Socialist Party group, Taulant Balla, stated from the Parliament podium that he cannot accept any of the opposition's requests for a motion with debate.
According to Balla, these requests will not be accepted if they conflict with the regulation.
Forgetting that the SP has been violently closing the Parliament for 7 sessions, without any debate, Balla addressed the opposition, saying that they bring distorted demands because they do not want debate.
According to him, the DP's demands include hundreds of issues, but their biggest problem is that they are intentionally truncated to prevent normal parliamentary life.
"At the conference of mayors, we had 3 discussions on 3 motions with debate. I have been informed that we will have another discussion."
The regulation on motions is clear, they are part of the instruments of parliamentary control, starting from the simplest and culminating with the investigative committee.
I have before me the request of the DP that wants not one specific issue but several hundred issues. It is about having the government's balance sheet from 2013 to 2025. This is not a specific issue. We have done so much work that we can make a motion for any work.
The request says that we want a motion with a debate on the government program. We cannot go back, we can only move forward. We can make a motion on issues related to the European path and the country's membership in the EU.
The efficiency of government is also required as part of the motion, which according to them is also related to the integrity of the appointed ministers. Then we go to the criminality of the government that does not share our soul, etc.
It's clear that you have a struggle and a scramble with each other, where it's not clear who is leading and who the others are.
"I understand that you have made the requests incomplete in order to prevent us from having a normal parliamentary life. You yourself bring truncated and distorted requests because you yourself do not want a debate. I cannot accept any of these requests," said Balla.
