Socialist Party MP Lavdërim Krashi has spoken about the recent changes in the government.
Invited to News24, Krashi said that he sees these changes as a common and everyday need. According to him, the government's priorities are changing and there is a need for refreshment. As for the new names in the Rama 3 government, he said that they are the prime minister's responsibility.
"The need for change is common and everyday. This is also the reason why there have been changes in the government. Government always needs refreshing. It does not mean that someone has worked badly. Government priorities are constantly changing and there is a need for refreshing. SP has a leader, a party leader. It is his responsibility to choose the government cabinet. It is directly his responsibility. There is definitely a cooperation with the parliamentary group, the presidency of the SP or other forums of the SP, where the priorities are set in the first place", said Krashi.
He further emphasized that he requested or suggested the monitoring of the local government and the reformation of the government has the novelty of a state minister for local government.
"There is an innovation in the changes in the government, we have a minister of state for local government. It means that after many years it was deemed necessary because there really was a gap because local government is very important for the citizen. It will be a connecting bridge, also to direct and monitor the affairs of the municipalities.
Each member of the SP, each deputy, each member of the Presidency has the duty to suggest the leadership strategy of the SP, but definitely also the structures of the SP. I have expressed very clear ideas about the priorities and it has been heard, as it was in the case of the minister for local government.
When it comes to the choice of names, it is definitely the prime minister's duty and responsibility. If he asks for someone's opinion, he has every right. It is important that the government is a team that fulfills its obligations to realize the program promised in the elections", declared the SP deputy.
Asked if these changes come at a time when SPAK has hit some of the representatives of the majority or has taken them under investigation, Krashi said that they are not related and considered the actions of the new justice to be positive developments.
"They are not related to SPAK strikes. They are related to the new jobs and tasks that the government has. They happen at a time when there are developments, I consider them positive for Albania. The culture of impunity is coming to an end," he said.
Regarding Prime Minister Edi Rama's statement and his warning to those who steal, Krashi said: "It is haram for everyone, starting from the President to the ordinary citizen. It is haram to put your hand in the pocket of Albanian citizens".
