The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, spoke about the debate with the head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha in the last plenary session.
Bardhi said that at first the communication was normal, but then it became tense after the statement of the Speaker of the Parliament Lindita Nikolla.
Bardhi said that when Nikola announced that Basha was the president of the DP, he added the button to speak. However, at this moment, Basha told Bardhi not to make a fuss.
"He told me to come out and speak as the leader of the group" , said Bardhi, the sentence which irritated him and then escalated the debate between them.
" I am not proud of the debate and why the communication was normal at the start. We said hello, it was normal, then he did an action that was hypocritical, unnecessary that brought that action on me. I'm not proud, this debate shouldn't happen. He knows that when I notice that someone is being untruthful I have an emotional reaction. What happened was that when the chairman was reading Basha's letter, I did not communicate, I just pressed the button to speak, he told me there is no need for us to fight, come out and speak as the group chairman. This is hypocrisy, because he said in the letter that he would be the leader of the group", he concluded.
Asked why he broke up with Basha, Bardhi said that there is nothing personal in this story. According to him, he has taken his own position, while Basha has a different position. Bardhi says that it was a wrong path and did not slander him.
