Berisha's remarks about Ilir Meta have sparked debates within the Democratic Party. After the harsh reaction of Myslim Murrizi, who called it "a political rent for a party without votes," former MP Kreshnik Çollaku was not spared either.
With two posts on social media, Çollaku has described this move as another own goal by the opposition, accusing the DP of becoming a haven for bankrupt parties and not a force that unites the right.
" In addition to the pardoned MPs on safe lists, the DP will also form a parliamentary group with the former LSI in September. While we have been saying all summer that the elections were stolen from us, we invite the Democrats to popular revolts in September, against the Electoral Farce ," he said.
" The problem of the DP is not why it donates 7 MPs to a parliamentary group of former LSI (a party with a different ideology and history)... but that it cannot stop the hemorrhage within the group, does not unite the right and listens little or not at all to the gray part of the anti-Rama electorate!!! ", added Çollaku.
