
Prime Minister Edi Rama had a telephone conversation this morning with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak.
The news was officially announced by the British government, through a press release, where it is clarified that Rama-Sunak talked about the close relations between Great Britain and Albania, noting the important bilateral cooperation, including trade and investments.
The two leaders also spoke about immigrants.
Rama and Sunak agreed that more work needs to be done regarding illegal migration in Europe.
They will discuss this issue closely at the meeting of the European Political Community in the United Kingdom in July.
Rama and Sunak also stressed the importance of stability in the Western Balkans, especially in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.
The two leaders also talked about the situation in the Middle East, where they emphasized the importance of dealing with the rise of anti-Semitism across the globe and the protection of common values of tolerance and respect.
