Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has commented on the current situation in the Assembly and the political parliamentary action of the opposition.
In a meeting in Elbasan with the democrats, as part of the 'Opposition in Action' tour, he said that this is not a political battle, but a vital one for the protection of the Constitution and the rights of citizens.
According to him, Rama is seeking, at any cost and price, to eradicate democracy in Albania and wants to have all the powers in his hands.
"I come to you today with the call of my heart for every young man and woman, for every citizen, democrat and democrat. It has chosen to deny your representatives in the parliament, those rights given to you by the constitution without which they do not represent anything other than themselves. Without those rights they cannot they represent boys and girls, men and women of the opposition who in the most difficult conditions bravely stayed true to their democratic ideals and voted against the government.
After that, this great evil, never seen since Enver Hoxha in our history, demands that those whom you brought to the parliament with those votes, to be executed politically, to be turned into a falsehood, into a facade of him and not in your representative.
In this respect, the battle in the parliament is a battle for the life or death of pluralism and democracy ," said Berisha.
