The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, after the meeting of the group, confirmed what former Prime Minister Sali Berisha said, that the pact for immigrants will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
In a statement to the media, he admitted that during the group's meeting there were deputies who had opposed sending the pact with Italy for immigrants to the Constitutional Court, but that in the end they all voted in favor.
"There was no such separation. There were colleagues who judged that it should not be taken to the Constitutional Court. In the end, everyone has taken their stand and we all agreed that the most correct way is to take this agreement to the constitutional court. Some colleagues have taken a different position, but during the voting there was no opposition ", he said after the group meeting.
Bardhi was also asked about the initiative of the allies of the Democratic Party for the unification of the opposition, for which he said that there will soon be a presentation of the platform.
"First, according to the announcement I received from the colleagues of the allied parties, they will have a conference where they will present a platform for the unification of the opposition. We support any initiative by anyone aimed at uniting the opposition. It is a platform of allied parties that will be presented to the Democratic Party and the parliamentary group ", he emphasized.
While on November 6, opposition deputies were not allowed to enter the premises of the Assembly, the situation was different this Thursday.
" The ban on the entry of deputies to their offices is a measure of violation of the rights of the opposition. We appreciate today's decision as an initiative of the Speaker of the Assembly for the implementation of the regulation. Today there was a reflection that is worth saluting ", said Bardhi.
