The legalization process was part of the discussion between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the mayors, at this Friday's meeting in Durrës.
Rama focused on the municipalities that have not advanced in this process and addressed the mayor of Gjirokastra, Flamur Golemi.
Excerpt from the debate:
Rama: What response do the municipalities have, that have practically not made any measurements, have not taken any legalization decisions? Flamur, what argument do you have, for example? Where is Flamur?
Golemi: The Municipality of Gjirokastër has decided that from the very beginning, a surveyor and an engineer have been appointed, we have made 52 measurements
Rama : Because they don't appear there, that's why
Golemi: There are 52 measurements, I have the files. I believe that it has been working recently, because things are going well with the new director of the Gjirokastra Cadastre, we had a meeting yesterday. I believe that very soon these files will be identified and will be passed on to the legalization process. Even in the absence of the Gjirokastra municipality staff, two of the urban planning employees in the Municipality have been made available to the Cadastre. There are 52 files passed by the Gjirokastra municipality staff.
