The Chairperson of the Committee for Legal Affairs and Public Administration, Klotida Bushka, has opposed Gazment Bardhi's request for a plenary session where Prime Minister Edi Rama must account for Ahmetaj's case and Rrahman Rraja's resignation.
According to Bushka, Ahmetaj's case belongs to justice and the Assembly must respect the law by applying the deadlines of the process, which according to her goes through several stages.
"Shout that you're used to it, big job!" You listen, keep in mind that the Speaker of the Assembly explained. You don't even listen to each other! The process is not political, it is procedural and the interest of justice should prevail, not the political interest of the day. We have done a process in the Council of Mandates, we have an opinion, a report will have to be made and the article clearly regulates this process, within two weeks a report will be drawn up for the plenary session.
Monday is the session and there is a logic why, the procedure implies that there is a known procedural guarantee, the right to be heard of the deputy, thus the rule of law is respected. Otherwise we go against the interests of justice, have we said to help justice? You don't tell Ms. Tabaku because yesterday your colleagues were ready without listening to the parties and this violates justice. We will have to implement the procedure, act quickly while respecting the constitutional rights, therefore this is a request with a political background. We have given an opinion, we have no objection. But there are some constitutional guarantees that the Assembly must implement, we are neither the Court nor the Prosecutor's Office", said Bushka.
