Prime Minister Edi Rama called on public administration institutions, with a focus on tax structures, to change the way they interact with private business and avoid pressures related to bribery and corruption.
During an activity focused on employment and the introduction of new jobs, Rama called for a more capable administration with higher standards of integrity.
"We need a strong administration, an administration that has ability on the one hand and integrity on the other to have the continuous growth that we have, whether from customs revenues or tax revenues."
"We need an administration that is absolutely different from what we had until a few years ago, so that the business climate is positive, so that companies perform without feeling under the constant pressure of bribery or corruption, as happened until not many years ago, and we definitely need an administration that is well positioned in relation to the government's announced goals to ensure that at the end of the day economic growth translates into increased wages, increased pensions and more rights," Rama emphasized.
He added that the administration must earn the trust of citizens through its performance and behavior in relation to the public.
"We will have a dignified administration that will definitely begin to enjoy more and more the respect of Albanian citizens," Rama said.
