Many killed, thousands injured and dozens taken hostage by Israeli citizens.
It is a war between Israel and Hamas, but the Palestinians, like other Israeli civilians, are not to blame for the tension between the parties. One side seeks complete control of Palestinian lands by any means, the other seeks revenge by taking people captive and shedding blood.
Israel has launched a wave of airstrikes and imposed a "total siege" on the Gaza Strip, cutting off electricity, food, water and gas to 2.3 million residents, most of whom are Palestinians.
On the other hand, Hamas has warned that it will start broadcasting videos of hostage executions if Israel deals with 'innocent civilians'.

The Israel Defense Forces say they hit 130 targets in Gaza within three hours yesterday morning. The country's military forces are on war alert after the rocket attack, sending about a thousand troops to Gaza.
While the international media say that more than 1,500 people were killed in total, there is still no exact breakdown of how many of them are Israelis and how many are Palestinians.
Palestinian authorities say 560 of their own people have been killed. According to the United Nations, since 2008, 6,400 Palestinians and 300 Israelis have been killed in bombings, not including the latest victims.

“Spitalet janë të mbipopulluara me njerëz të plagosur, ka mungesë të barnave dhe furnizimeve mjekësore dhe mungesë karburanti për gjeneratorë. Ambulancat nuk mund të përdoren”, thonë burime për mediat e huaja.
Ministri i Mbrojtjes Yoav Gallant tha se të gjitha ushqimet, karburantet, energjia elektrike dhe nevojat e tjera do të jenë të bllokuara për Rripin e Gazës.
