The application of Albanians living abroad in the Electronic Registration Platform (PER) has started today, a process which lasts until March 4.
It is learned that so far 339 Albanian citizens have applied to vote in the May 11 elections. The most numerous applications are from Germany, Italy, Britain, Greece, countries where the majority of Albanians live.
Registration:
An immigrant seeking to register must first open an account on the platform (PER).
The immigrant, when submitting his request for registration in the list of voters abroad according to the rules approved by the Regulatory Commission, uploads to the electronic registration platform at least one of the listed documents that proves his residence outside the territory of the Republic of Albania:
– Ownership certificate or equivalent document in the country of residence, proving the ownership of the apartment;
– Document proving residence in the foreign country issued by the relevant authorities;
- Lease or loan contract of the apartment;
– Bank documents (loan contract/bank certificate, etc.) containing the residential address;
– Supply contract or water supply bill in the apartment;
– Supply contract or bill for gas or electricity in the apartment;
– Digital audiovisual broadcasting service subscription contract or invoice
– Contract or invoice for the internet service of the landline telephone in the residence;
- Document issued by the competent body of the state where he resides, which certifies the voter's stay in a health institution, immigration camp or similar;
– Property document or equivalent issued in the country of residence proving the ownership of the apartment;
- Driver's license (licence) in cases where the residential address is indicated;
Or any other document issued in the foreign country that proves the stay of the Albanian citizen at the declared address abroad.
The number of Albanian citizens registered at the same address who apply on the electronic registration platform cannot be more than 6 people. An exception to this rule will be made only for legitimate reasons and after the submission of legal documentation (PER) will allow the registration of more Albanian citizens.
After registration, the CEC replies to the immigrant whether his request has been approved or not. If the CEC does not approve the registration, it clarifies the immigrant about the documents he must complete in order to approve the request.
The registration process is considered successful when the voter submits complete data and the request is approved.
We remind you that for the full coverage of the cost of the vote, it is necessary to carry out legal changes, for which the consensus of the opposition is also needed.
