The vice president of the Democratic Party, Orjola Pampuri, commented on the anti-corruption resolution.
Yesterday in the parliament, the resolution on the fight against corruption was approved with the votes of the socialist majority, while the opposition did not vote for it. Deputy Orjola Pampuri clarified the reasons why DP did not participate in this vote.
"Yesterday, we had our stand to abstain, refusing to be part of the vote, and I believe that our entire group did not participate in the debate regarding the anti-corruption resolution. Why did we say this and why does it harm the justice reform and why does it harm the work of SPAK? In fact, in a normal country, a special structure such as SPAK could not exist because justice works normally" , Pampuri told Vizionplus.
Further, Pampuri emphasized that impunity is at high levels.
"Justice is independent, there is certainly no impunity. As if there were during these 34 years, where I believe that we are all conscious in all governments. Impunity has been at very high levels... We are within SPAK. SPAK is doing its job and I believe it is an excellent job, seeing the results where we would not have thought that we would have MPs, former MPs, former deputy prime ministers, why not the former leader of the Democratic Party, of course we are coming sorry but this is the truth. This damages him for a single fact ," Pampuri said.
The vice-president of the Democratic Party said that at this moment it is hypocritical for Rama to claim that he is fighting corruption, when the prime minister himself in the last 11 years has built corruption by himself, cooperating with all those politicians who already seem to be involved in corruption .
"There is no reason today for Edi Rama after 11 years when the EU and the USA were forced to support a special structure when there was 11 years of the government of Edi Rama, who closed both eyes, shut his mouth and even cooperated with all those who are called corrupt, With those who benefit from tenders, concessions with those who make concessions with all of them and today after 11 years of government, he says I will fight corruption, which corruption? The one you built yourself? And here is the great hypocrisy for which we neither participated in the debate nor in the vote. Edi Rama has no business investigating corruption. It was Edi Rama who built and transformed corruption into a norm and into normality. Whoever committed corruption was a good and successful politician" , emphasized Pampuri.
