The Socialist Party aims for 22 parliamentary seats in the Tirana District in the May 11 elections. The statement was made by Socialist MP Xhemal Qefalia, who is running on the open list of Socialist candidates in the Tirana District.
In the ABCnews studio, Qefalia said that the SP has no opponents and that there is no competition at all with the DP, but the main mission of the majority is the "European passport".
" I come directly from the campaign and believe me that contact with citizens is an ambition to work harder, as it is very appreciative. The EU passport is very important and I believe that citizens will know how to vote again because by voting for the SP they will vote for the future of their children. The mission of this majority has been ambitious.
Prime Minister Rama has had the most dignified representation in European chancelleries and has now made Albania no longer a small country as it was once viewed with an eye of indifference. The ambition of this majority is that we are at the moment to lead Albania with all spheres and disciplines towards the EU path.
We believe that Tirana will discuss 21-22 mandates, with the aim of making it a big victory. To be realistic, I believe that 22 mandates for the SP are feasible.
"And let's not get it wrong, we have no competition. We work as a team and the challenge we have is with the ambitions we have to take it to the EU. The DP colleagues are a part that have guaranteed their places on the safe list and we see nothing but bubbles ," he said.
