Berisha is suspected of feeling unwell after being sprayed with tear gas and pepper spray...
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, did not feel well during today's protest in Tirana, after clashes with the police and the use of tear gas.
After the protesters marched through several streets of the capital, tensions were noted near the RTSH area, where police forces intervened using water and tear gas to disperse the crowd.
At this point, according to sources on the ground, Berisha left the crowd and headed towards the street near his apartment. It is suspected that he was attacked with spray paint in the face.
He was seen standing at the entrance to a bar in that area, surrounded by bodyguards and supporters, who did not allow journalists to approach and film him up close.
There are suspicions that the opposition leader may have felt unwell as a result of the gas used during the clashes, however, there is no official confirmation on his health condition. The protest was previously stopped for about 10-15 minutes. Later, the leader of the DP improved and the crowd continued the march.
