Prime Minister Edi Rama said today during his speech at the third Diaspora summit that November 22, which is known as the Day of the Alphabet of the Albanian Language, which is known as a national holiday in North Macedonia, should also be recognized as such in Albania.
He asked President Vjosa Osmani to propose this to Albin Kurti as well.
"With a very reasonable suggestion of the president, I want to frame this speech in terms of the invitation to this summit but also in terms of what is important to be together and help each other. It is strange, but still Arbën Xhaferri, who is no longer alive, but had the vision to request that the day of the alphabet be a day known as a national holiday for the Albanians of North Macedonia. Now I think it is time for this to be a national holiday in Albania as well, and I definitely believe that the president of Kosovo should give this suggestion to his prime minister. I listen to the president for myself" - said Rama.
