"I won't side with Berisha in the campaign"/ Sula ironizes Binaj:

Former Democratic MP, Dashnor Sula, has ironically commented on Florjan Binaj's statements regarding his candidacy for the Tirana municipality.

Binaj stated last night on Top Story that he is an independent candidate, supported by the opposition spectrum, but that he will not side with Berisha in the campaign.

Regarding this, Sula said that "the wonders in this country for the opposition are endless."

" There is a beautiful story here from Gramsh, where two shepherds were guarding the sheep. At one point, one of the two shepherds slipped and fell towards the abyss. The other shepherd, who saw that his colleague was falling, called out: Did you kill yourself? And the other shepherd replied: You are asking me, did you kill yourself, but I have not fallen yet. Even the Democratic Party and the opposition continue to fall, it has not yet reached the bottom. If I have to draw a parallel, Mr. Florian Binaj likes to get married, so he likes it and says, I want to get married but I don't like my wife. Or in other words, I want to get married but I don't want to go shopping with my wife, I don't want the world to see me.

It is completely impossible to do anything without the votes of the political entity. Because several questions arise: What about the commissioners, who will provide them? Because you, as the Democratic Party, do not have a candidate, you do not register. What about the funds? Because you do not have a candidate for the elections.

This whole situation suits only one man: Professor Doctor Sali Berisha! He will maintain his status quo. So that tomorrow he can say, I did not lose, you civil society lost. So we are all incapable of defeating Edi Rama and the Socialist Party. And so, I continue as leader of the opposition, and you civil society saw that the regime cannot...

Either you call it a regime, a narco-state, a dictatorship and you choose to confront the regime and the dictatorship with political means, and you overthrow it with a vote. Or it is not a regime and it is not overthrown by a vote and there are extra-legal means, like rebellion, and you overthrow it over time. But if you become an appendage of the regime, if you continue to call it a regime but become part of it and legitimize it, it does not work. Either it is, or it is not!” , says Sula.
