The Assembly was engulfed in debates in today's session, while DP deputies used the time to level accusations against the Speaker of Parliament, Niko Peleshi.
Luciano Boçi, a DP MP, said that the Parliament has turned into a shop, while Niko Peleshi seeks to clean up the dirty politics of the majority, by silencing the opposition.
"Return the debate to the Assembly, don't worry that the opposition is speaking for two or three minutes," said Boçi.
Earlier, MPs Klevis Balliu, Flamur Noka and Gent Strazimiri also raised criticism regarding the issue of how Parliament is being treated.
"There is a Constitution, there is a regulation that defines how Parliament should function. But the leader of Parliament prefers to be instructed by majority MPs and the Prime Minister on how to manage a parliamentary session," said Noka.
Addressing Pelesh, Noka said, "You are not a prompter who interrupts me every time I speak."
MP Klevis Balliu said that the Assembly cannot be treated as a notary of Government acts.
Balliu said that while the minutes are being discussed in Parliament, the world is talking about the meeting in Aruba, adding that the State Department has said that the government has found the time to go to Aruba, while the Prime Minister "does not find the time to face Parliament."
"I understand the rush here to silence the opposition. If you had this rush to give us the rules of procedure, we would have had it. There is no other place where parliament meets just to notarize the minutes. We discuss the minutes, the whole world talks about Aruba, the State Department says that you have an entire government that finds the time to go to Aruba, but your long-time friend doesn't find the time to face Parliament," he said.
DP MP Arjan Ndoj called on the Assembly to respect the rules of procedure and the Constitution, claiming that they are being violated.
He stressed that the Assembly must return to normality, while listing several violations. He said that if these opposition claims were reviewed by the Constitutional Court, they would be proven right.
"I call on you in the name of professional ethics to look at the regulations. We come to the session and we do not know what we have changed in the regulations. Can these approvals be considered valid? If our requests are submitted to the Constitutional Court, they are accepted. I am for returning the Assembly to the institutional path, to the right path," said Ndoj.
