Deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Salianji, commented on the latest developments in the country, focusing on the strikes by SPAK and also on the situation in DP. Salianji said that with all the scandals that have engulfed the country, the government should have fallen, adding that he is in favor of the protests.
"In the DASH report, Albania is described as a source of hard drugs and justice must be encouraged to put an end to criminality. But we should not stop only at those who are seen to be without political support. We need a judiciary unaffected by politics. I encourage SPAK to go to the end of the investigation and not be selective", said Salianji for "News 24".

SPAK is hitting left?
Salianji: It is a perception raised by the propaganda of the Socialist Party. We have seen that the special anti-corruption structure operates after they have left the government. The main effect that justice has is the deterrent effect. Corruption in power must be attacked and it can be divided into figures on the left or the right, justice must intervene where it sees illegality.
The incinerator of Tirana and the seizure by SPAK?
Salianji: The investigation should have advanced to the level of the prime minister and elements related to certain decision-making where the government does not have the capacity to pass 17 decisions in one day. So it is insufficient to focus everything on two characters. Let's not forget that political support for incinerators has been strong.
The situation in PD
Salianji: We know that PD is not in its best days, but I don't believe that this prevents it from its mission to make the right opposition and to expose all the corruption of the government. The deformation of the will of the electorate is the event that should receive attention. I have said that DP's mistakes have been unimaginable, we know that.
Where do you find yourself starting from the new parliamentary section?
Salianji: The Parliamentary Group is a group that functions, it is united except for a specific case. I do not see any problems that may arise from the opposition's action in Parliament. The opposition has also functioned abroad, making a strong opposition. So I don't see it as a problem that certain characters serve the government. Do you think the real opposition is Alex Xinxa? There is a character who says I am the president. Luli is that Alex Xinxa. Funny character. Citizens see where the opposition is and who is fighting for their rights. The opposition must be reconceptualized, remade, either in public communication or on the ground. The main goal is to overthrow the regime.
