The Italian media have given importance to the statement of Prime Minister Rama at the "Bled" Strategic Forum. They write that Rama made a macabre joke about killing Prigozhin.
"Rama told a somewhat macabre joke about the murder of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner group who died in the crash of his private plane last week in Russia," reads the Italian media article, which then quotes his words .
'I don't know if you've heard that negotiations are underway in Russia to unify time zones, because now there is a nine-hour difference between one part of the country and another. Mr. President, we have a problem. I sent my family on vacation and called them to say goodnight, but it's already morning at their house and they were at the beach. I called Olaf Scholz to wish him a happy birthday, but they said it's tomorrow. I called Xi Jinping to wish him a happy New Year, but they told me it's still the old year." And Putin says: "Yes, it happened to me too: I called Prigozhin's family to express my condolences, but the plane had not left yet," said Rama at the "Bled" Forum.
According to the Italian media, there was laughter in the hall, but among the guests there were also those who felt uncomfortable.
