"Communist mentality", Mirela Karabina: PD aims for quality membership, not mass

The spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Mirela Karabina, said that the Democratic Party does not aim for a mass membership, but a quality one. According to her, parties with mass membership have a communist mentality.

"How many million inhabitants is Albania, we are about 2 million. Why should we have mass membership? This is communist mentality. You don't have the power of membership. Membership must be effective, the vote is with the citizens. DP membership has been fictitious and has never been declared. In the 2021 elections, 41 thousand voted for Basha, in the last election 16 thousand. We want to have an effective membership, massiveness is a communist mentality. There is no need to have so many numbers, you must have effective membership" , said Karabina for "Euronews Albania".
