Canonization of Mother Teresa, President Begaj: We are proud to have given the world a noble figure

Republic, Bajram Begaj, commemorated Mother Teresa today on the date of her death and on the 9th anniversary of her canonization.

President Begaj appreciates the work of the Albanian saint and invites citizens to follow her instructions for care, assistance, charity and mercy towards one another.

"Today, the whole world prays for Saint Mother Teresa. As Albanians, we are proud to have given the world a holy and noble figure, a symbol of mercy, love and care for the helpless. Saint Mother Teresa is part of our national soul, given to humanity to heal wounds and bring hope where it is lacking."

"She taught us that even small acts of kindness have the power to change the world. Let us do a good deed every day," the President wrote.
