Adriatik Lapaj, stated that the "breakdown" of the "Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet" coalition occurred when Endrit Shabani's uncle decided to withdraw his resignation.
He emphasized that there had been clashes between them even before the elections, but not to this point where the situation had escalated.
" The coalition had no hesitation before the elections to get to this point. Of course, there were small debates. The turning point was when I saw on TV that Shabani's uncle had submitted a request to withdraw his resignation. I found out about it from the media ," Lapaj said in the "Debat" studio on A2 CNN.
He further added that he asked Shabani to take a stance on the situation so that it would not escalate, which according to him, did not come from the head of the Weaving Initiative.
"We have a written agreement and my public engagement was neither with Nismë Thurje nor with Mr. Shabani. That was a statement made before the coalition was signed. After I found out about my uncle's work in the media, I reacted by telling him: "Stay away! Either you will continue with the model that your uncle proposes, or you will continue with our model, which are open lists". That's all I said. This whole incident makes us feel ashamed. As a young generation, we should not have the malignancy inside us" , added Lapaj.
