When Edi Rama talks about competitive hiring or reforming public administration, he simply should not be taken seriously. His calls for "new blood" in the management of institutions are a facade. A recent example of this is the appointment of the new director of the Port of Saranda, Admir Malaj, Lapsi.al learns.
The latter was until recently the director of the port in Vlora and the chairman of the Socialist Party. Rama dismissed him from the party leadership in Vlora on the eve of the electoral campaign for the May 11 elections.
The motive was that Malaj was becoming an obstacle to new arrivals to the party, especially those coming from the DP. But the elections were over and the competitions began to be proudly announced by the prime minister.
Admir Malaj has been catapulted from port director in Vlora to port director in Saranda, a position that until a few days ago was held by Alket Qëndro. The latter has been called by Rama himself to ask for his resignation. Of course, no one can take the word of the supreme leader in two. Qëndro submitted his resignation.
Malaj, taking advantage of his friendship with Minister Pirro Vëngu, is catapulted into the management of the Port of Saranda. It is not a problem why that director went again as a special name.
The issue is with Edi Rama's mindset, with the mockery he makes of many others who are deceived and send CVs because they truly believe in competitions and see how in the end the friends of ministers, cousins and people from the party-state's faction of MPs and officials are appointed. There are no competitions with Rama! Everything is predetermined! / Lapsi.al
