The leader of the 'Together Movement', Arlind Qori, sees the Lapaj-Shabani clashes as a soap opera between two representatives of political parties, who, according to him, are fighting for a parliamentary mandate.
Invited today to the 'Studio Live' show on Report TV, Qori said that they have no ideals.
" These are champagne parties, they crackle once and then fall apart. A lot of attention is being paid to this. I see that they are parties whose representatives have no ideas and no ideals. They accused me of being selfish, when today I am not an MP, I say as I say, Redi Muçi will be an MP. But it was known that we would come to this situation where for one MP seat, MPs are eating each other. This is a coalition that has only received one MP. So if these people did not come together, none of them would have MPs. Their world is only a mandate as an MP. It is a soap opera of characters who only want to become MPs ," he said.
Qori has spoken out against cooperation with the Socialist Party and other opposition parties.
" I do not believe that the Socialist Party will have any good proposals for governing the country. The fact that we will have a representation in the Assembly will make us have a voice in the Assembly. We will not cooperate with corrupt parties, we have our own independent action, together with the needy, with small businesses to raise issues that are important ," he said.
Albania sees EU membership by 2030 as an objective that can only be achieved if it is governed differently.
" Only if it is governed differently than it has been governed until now and only if deep reforms are made. And the current government cannot do these because there is a lot of corruption and abuse. I do not believe that if it continues to be governed like this, we will be in the EU soon ," he said.
He said that the 'Together Movement' is in a process of reorganization and growing in numbers with new memberships.
" We are in a reorganization process. Fortunately for us, we have a new wave of memberships in this period. There has been interest both abroad and within the country. September is not far away and there are many issues that need to be addressed. We have not forgotten the issue of pensions, housing issues, the living wage. Our program was not a program for one party. We have a healthy alternative for every issue ," he said.
