Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was asked about Shkëlzen Berisha's absence today at the Special Prosecutor's Office, where he was summoned to give explanations about the Gërdec tragedy.
According to him, SPAK's request is political and has nothing to do with the investigation process.
"Shkëlzen Berisha was summoned to SKAP for this matter some time ago. He gave every answer.
He left the physical and electronic address there, but they preferred to do more politics since his call is a genuine political act.
There is no connection with any act, process, moment of that drama that happened and he gave explanations.
Even the family members have realized that they are doing politics with their tragedy. There is an announcement made by Shkëlzen Berisha that he has not changed both addresses and has left them at SKAP.
To take seriously a body that works with the old principles of the secret police, that works as a criminal structure, should not be taken seriously ," said Berisha.
