Prime Minister Edi Rama showed what he declared in Brussels about Kosovo, Serbia and what he asked the Council of Europe together with the president of Kosovo.
" It is time for Serbia to face itself and place all the stones on the European future and respond constructively to the positive change of Kosovo in the dialogue mediated by the EU.
I also addressed the high representative of the Republic of Kosovo at the table, and the Prime Minister of Kosovo in his absence and the President of Serbia in his absence with the same blunt language, that Kosovo has no reason above all there is only loss if it loses the interest of its friends and its great allies at that table behaving as it has been for a certain time, which is a loss not only for Kosovo but also for the region that needs light, air, water for life to finally leave the area painful and degrading history.
Now is the time for Kosovo to continue and build the approach with the new foundation that it has taken with the positive step by accepting, after a long time but this is no longer important, the creation of the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority. Thus, it paves the way for the restoration of the damaged trust of friends and allies, but also for the benefits that come from a final agreement with Serbia for the future of Kosovo.
I called in this case together with the president of Kosovo for the Council of Europe to immediately remove all coercive measures or sanctions that were imposed on Kosovo for known and understandable reasons at the time and give Kosovo back a positive assessment for the positive change of course of Kosovo in the approach to dialogue mediated by the EU ," said Rama.
