"Ora News" journalist Elton Qyno was at the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime from 11:00 yesterday morning until 2:00 am today.
From his apartment, Qyno stated that he was held in SPAK until 17:00 and was informed that there was a Court decision to search his house, office and vehicle.
Among other things, the journalist said that after the statement given, there was pressure to reveal the source of the information.
Regarding this event, dozens of journalists have reacted in support of their colleague, while asking SPAK to urgently make the session with Qyno transparent.
Meanwhile, a reaction comes from the head of the democratic parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi.
“The news about SPAK's actions towards journalist Enton Qyno is very disturbing.
No one can intimidate and harm a journalist in fulfilling his duty.
If the actions are only to find the source, this would constitute the most serious violation of the freedom of the media.
SPAK must urgently clarify the motives and legality of its actions, as well as guarantee the exercise without any obstacles of the journalist's mission to inform without any pressure of public opinion", it is stated White.
