Prime Minister Edi Rama said that Albania 2030 will be a new Albania, adding that perhaps by then even the swamp will have dried up.
According to Rama, with EU entry, there can no longer be any hidden agendas with citizens.
"As united and aware of the fate that has come our way, but not forever because the encounter with history does not wait and cannot be postponed at our pleasure, we must go on the open road of fate without prejudice and temptations for the next stupidity. If we want to put an end to the history of a people left as second-rate, and hand over to our children and the generations to come, a country within the borders of the EU where there is no longer any difference between Albanian and Italian, Greek or German. But let there also be no chance to see the Albanian from above and below. Albania today is nowhere the same as it was when we took office in any field except in the swamp of the opposition and the media around it, when for the sake of truth the situation is worse than it was when we took office.
There is no doubt that Albania today will not be the same as Albania 2030. Perhaps the opposition swamp will have dried up by then, but this is the only thing that the minority and not the majority of Albanians have in their hands. Albania 2030 will be a new Albania, a country with another position and another power as a member state of a large family of freedoms, rights and opportunities that we do not have today and that we cannot have tomorrow without becoming part of that family. Whoever enters that house will not play with its citizens anymore. In that family, no one can question the rule of law for its citizens", Rama said.
