DP MP, Jorida Tabaku, commented on the postponement of the decision to raise salaries for the public administration, while emphasizing that this showed the incompetence of the Ministry of Finance.
In an interview for the media, she stated that the salary increase has been advertised for 6 months. Among other things, Tabaku described as a naive justification the statement of Minister Ibrahimaj that "the decision of the Council of Ministers could not be clarified".
"You think that the opposition here in the Parliament, if the majority does not want, can block something. What was prevented from being approved a few months ago was by the majority. None of us is naive enough to think that the MPs of the majority have this sense of rebellion and block government laws. We have heard since last December the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, who have clearly said: The effects have been calculated, there is a new strategy drawn up for salaries, the funds in the state budget are although we have said that there is a big question mark for the calculation of funds for salary increases. They said that they have calculated all the categories and 185 thousand employees of the administration have been waiting for a salary increase for at least 6 months.
Their salary increase was also voted by the opposition as a clear act of the fact that the government has been increasing salaries for 10 years. It should have helped the administration with at least the rate of inflation. This is an incompetence of the Ministry of Finance, who have not been able to decide that something they have been advertising for 6 months will come into force on June 1.
Even an arrogance that comes out and makes excuses that for me are childish and naive, that the decision of the Council of Ministers could not be clarified. 6 months that they advertise and are not able to make a calculation of coefficients for seniority, etc. The Ministry of Finance has shown its incompetence repeatedly these years.
