The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has commented on the return of the former chief democrat Lulzim Basha and the attitudes he has held about the old class of politicians.
Meta accused Basha of being the author of the situation in which the Albanian right has currently ended.
"We have seen the leadership of Taulant Balla's subordinate. He killed the opposition where he went. He gave the parliament 100 percent to Edi Rama, who made the laws as he pleased. He left the justice reform, which plays games with the biggest opposition party in the country. He left the local government," said Meta, referring to Basha.
When asked if the fragmented vote of the Democrats damaged the final result of the opposition, the leader of the PL emphasized that the result of the elections is a consequence of the "capillary criminalization of the electoral process by the head of the government Edi Rama."
Whereas, regarding the case of Fredi Beleri in the south of the country, Meta stated that he was arrested only because he was an opposition candidate and that he harmed the interests of the prime minister for that part of the country.
"We know that Beleri is the first candidate, elected, who was elected while physically disabled. Illegally. There is no flagrant act that justifies that ban. Apart from Rama's panic, to physically isolate him to secure Himara's municipality," he said.
