The deputy of the Democratic Party, Albana Vokshi, has denounced the Regional Hospital of Fier, where she states that since March, the patients have not been provided with food.
Vokshi also states that 6.6 tons of hospital waste have been accumulated inside the hospital premises, which should have been disposed of as they are dangerous for the health of patients and staff.
Vokshi calls on the Ministry of Health to take immediate measures to provide food service, laundry service and evacuate all hazardous waste.
Albana Vokshi's statement:
Free healthcare is Edi Rama's biggest failure, which has long been transformed into free suffering for patients and their families.
We have denounced for years, every month, every day, the undoing and destruction of every pillar of health. We have denounced thefts and abuses, through the procurement of abusive concessions. We have denounced those responsible by name and surname, starting with Edi Rama, Ilir Beqaj, Ogerta Manastirlliu, deputy ministers, leaders of QSUT, etc.
In recent days, we have denounced the scandal with the lack of medications, cures, therapies, beds, armchairs at the oncology hospital near QSUT, the manipulation of the pharmacy system to allow the circulation of expired medications in different pharmacies of different wards of QSUT.
As you can see, dear citizens, they are greedy, they spare no one! Not men, not women, not even children!
Today we will make public another scandal.
From the information that has reached PD in the last few days, we are informed that there is another problem in the regional hospital of Fier.
You all remember how Prime Minister Edi Rama, before the 2021 elections, invested himself in promoting the construction of this hospital, it was built in record time, an electoral hospital, to be used specifically for the 2021 elections.
Rama - Manastirliu at that time promised a center of excellence, an example of the health system and a center for the transfer of technology and knowledge from the Turkish health system to the Albanian health system.
They promised that this hospital would serve as a laboratory of transferred knowledge, increase capacity, experience and above all would achieve the objective that has been there for a long time, that Albanian citizens do not go to Turkey but receive quality health services in Albania .
But like any other promise, this too was another big deception of Edi Rama. Because the regional hospital of Fier has not only not turned into a center of excellence, on the contrary, it is turning into a suffering center for patients who do not even receive services with minimum standards.
From the information received by the DP, it has been more than 4 months since the hospital (since March) has no funds for food supply. Patients provide their own meals that they need to take during the day. as well as for laundry.
Everything is provided by the patients' families.
This is not enough, but in the hospital, as of today, we are informed that 6.6 tons of hospital waste have been accumulated inside the premises of the regional hospital of Fier instead of being disposed of.
Think about it, inside the hospital premises, because they haven't found a place to dispose of them, they are dangerous waste, which release gases or dangerous substances for patients, family members and hospital staff.
Like everything else electoral, the electoral hospital is a failure!
We ask the Minister of Health to take urgent measures to provide food service, laundry service, and evacuate all hazardous waste.
The life of every Albanian patient is more expensive than any possible cost.
