The leaders of the parliamentary groups have been called to a consultative meeting by the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, to discuss the formation of new parliamentary bodies.
At this meeting, the members of the Council for Mandates and Rules of Procedure, the Assembly Bureau and the members of the delegations are expected to be selected. Also, the leaders of the groups, on behalf of the entities they represent, will propose the names of the members of the committees and their leaders, where the opposition will lead 4 of the 11 committees that will function in the new Parliamentary legislature.
And in line with today's discussions, it is expected that on Tuesday, the Assembly will convene in a plenary session where it will decide on the establishment of the Mandates Council and then vote on the new Regulation and the composition of the committees.
Following the restructuring of Parliament, the Assembly will hold a two-day debate on Thursday and Friday, on the governing program and the composition of the "Rama 4" cabinet.
The opposition has spoken out against the removal of the right to lead the Parliamentary Committee on Integration, which in the previous legislature was led by Jorida Tabaku. But the opposition does not have the necessary votes to block the changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which were approved with 71 votes.
