Territorial, Berisha accuses Rama: With a stroke of the pen he eliminated the

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, present at a roundtable on territorial reform, has strongly criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama and the reform undertaken by the government.

During his speech, Berisha described the territorial reform as an initiative undertaken in the interest of the Socialist Party, accusing the majority of political and electoral purposes.

He stated that the changes made to the administrative division have harmed local governance and the interests of citizens, emphasizing that the decisions taken have eliminated a large number of municipalities.

"I want to thank the organizers of this meeting for an important issue. The destruction that was done to the local government after the crime party came to power is one of the most serious blows that was dealt to the interests of the Albanian citizen, to the development of the country. In the most absurd way that goes as far as a national crime in Albania, the country that has about 75-80% of its territory mountainous and hilly, something was decided that does not exist, not even in the flattest countries in the world. So this country with the most mountainous territory, was decided on a model of erasing the territory. And today, the chief ignoramus, an enemy who made this reform, is implementing the mountains package in Maminas. Because where there are mountains, there are no more inhabitants. The anti-reform that was done to the local government had two basic criteria, theft and the vote. Several municipalities were wiped out with a drop of a pencil. The latest INSTAT registration is fraud and falsified figures. Don't believe them frauds," said Berisha.
