The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, congratulated the re-elected Prime Minister of Australia, Antonio Albanese, who won a second term to lead the country.
In a post on X, the president says he is proud that a leader with Arbëresh roots is leading such a large country. Begaj also mentions the importance of deepening cooperation between the two countries.

As Albania and Australia enjoy warm and friendly relations, we are proud to see a leader with Arbëresh roots at the helm of a great country and one of our partners.
"We hope that our cooperation will continue to deepen in the coming years," the President of the Republic wrote on his official X profile.
