The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, declared that the opposition protest will continue despite the blocking of the march by the State Police.
During his speech, Noka said that the citizens will not retreat and that the scenarios to prevent the rally have failed. He described the protest as peaceful and emphasized that Tirana belongs to the citizens.
"The peaceful protest continues. Despite Narco-Proda ordering the march to be blocked, nothing stops it. Every scenario they had has failed. The uprising is peaceful and no one can save their skin. Neither Narco-Proda nor his gang in the State Police. We are on the march. Tirana belongs to the citizens and the barbarians in power. All the streets of Tirana will be citizens'," said Flamur Noka.
There is still no confirmation whether the protesters will also stop near the Socialist Party headquarters.
The protest organizers are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
The rally continues under the monitoring of police forces.
