Jorida Tabaku

Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku stated that the change of half of the government cabinet just five months after the start of the mandate is the result of opposition pressure through protests and the reaction of the international factor.

In an interview from the DP protest, Tabaku stated that political responsibility remains with the prime minister.

" For me, they are all names that come and go, the one who keeps the system afloat is Edi Rama and we are against him, we do not deal with individual names. A government that is changed 5 months after the start of its mandate, everyone understands that there is pressure from citizens and the opposition and international awareness from the protests. It has also come as a result of the obligations of the integration process ," said Tabaku.

The Democratic MP emphasized that one of the main messages from international partners, including MEP David McAllister, has been the implementation of justice reform.

" McAllister said that the opposition's space in Parliament is narrowing. The main message he said is that justice reform must be implemented without hesitation. For the first time, Albania is mentioned for security issues, and the focus is the government, not the opposition ," she said.

According to Tabaku, the changes in the government show that the majority has faced internal and external pressure, while the opposition will continue its political action against the prime minister.
