The Political Leader of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, Lulzim Basha, spoke this evening about the electoral program and emphasized that the fight against corruption is the main priority of this coalition.
Basha also revealed the goals of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, should it become part of the government after the May 11 elections, while ruling out the possibility of cooperation with Edi Rama and Sali Berisha after the elections.
" We will govern with all political factors that share our fundamental principles and beliefs for the future of the country, especially for the fight against corruption. Of course, we prefer those who share our programmatic goals. We do not govern with Rama, we do not govern with Berisha, because we automatically exclude corrupt people, people who do not 100% support SPAK and people who are not 100% in sync with the US, EU and Great Britain ," said Basha, invited to the studio of the show "Review".
Basha criticized the DP and the Freedom Party, emphasizing that the vote for the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition is a vote to get Ilir Meta out of prison. Basha added that the Euro-Atlantic coalition aims to impose its program on the next government and that they are not interested in seats, but in offering a governing alternative for Albanians. He stated that Albania can achieve its economic objectives only by fighting corruption.
" The Euro-Atlantic Coalition is set to govern the country. As for the mandates we expect to receive, we have our internal calculations and they are much more than the polls indicate, but I cannot give numbers at the moment. However, I see a huge increase in support and citizens will guarantee with their vote the power to implement our program in the next government. We expect greater support in the Tirana district ," said Basha.
Basha also spoke about the diaspora vote, saying that it would be great if it were done through electronic voting. He added that the diaspora voting process, as it was done this year, is full of pitfalls and surprises, and he is not very optimistic, but he admitted that he expects support from the diaspora as well.
