Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed details from a telephone conversation he had with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In a post on 'X', Zelensky announced that he discussed many prominent topics with Rama - joint projects and broader perspectives. It seems that the Ukrainian President is holding talks with heads of governments of various European countries, perhaps to obtain the widest possible support and backing, in the face of international developments, especially after the start of talks between the US and Russia, which Zelensky said he had been informed about by the media.
"We also talked about European diplomatic initiatives. It is essential that Europe be at the negotiating table. Everything about Europe should be with the participation of Europe, and everything about Ukraine should be with the participation of Ukraine.
"A shared vision and coordinated steps are essential for achieving a just and lasting peace. We are working together to strengthen security across Europe. Thank you for your support," Zelensky wrote.
