The head of the Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, says that the PD is getting into a new impasse with the announced elections for the new president.
In a direct connection with the Tirana Live studio, Bardhi said that it is the party's charter that should provide a solution to every situation.
"Without any discussion whether everyone's interest is the DP's interest, every situation is solvable. Worrying at the moment is the fact that it can happen and is happening that the party gets into a new impasse. I did my best to implement the statute.

He also spoke about the meeting announced for the next day where he stressed that he is not aware of it.
"I have not seen the announcement made by some of my colleagues, I have no idea. I asked for a leadership meeting with the agenda of calling the meeting of the national council. So far I have not received an answer, the colleagues have judged for another meeting, the request has not been taken into consideration. As long as the statute obliges us to convene the council, any other issue simply leads to a stalemate in the situation where the DP is. I call for reflection and responsibility. Any process in the state in which the PD is located should bring about the strengthening of the PD, not deepening divisions and divisions. It has nothing to do with personal names, the statute charges me with the responsibility of organizing the party." continued Bardhi.
