The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, has provided the latest details regarding the partial local election process in 5 municipalities of the country, Mat, Berat, Tepelena, Cerrik and Vlora.
He stated that in 80 percent of voting centers, the process began at 07:00, while regarding citizen participation in the process, Celibashi stated that so far 2.42 percent of eligible citizens have exercised their right to vote.
"So far, no problems have been reported regarding the start of the voting process in these 5 municipalities, nor with the use of electronic voter identification devices. Operators have been present at 100 percent of the voting centers.
We do not have real-time broadcasting in 18 voting centers due to wireless coverage problems, but they are being taken operationally. 2.42 percent is the total participation in the five municipalities, up to this moment," said Celibashi.
Celibashi said that the counting process will be broadcast in real time, due to the small number of CEAZs.
"For 9 CEAZs, there will be live footage of the vote counting site," said Celibashi.
