Admir Sinamati, who ran for Reestablishment in the May 14 elections for the Municipality of Kukës, has declared that he will not participate in the rerun of the elections on September 14. Sinamati states that he is convinced that the opposition in Kukës and DP will not feel at all that he is not running.

Dear leaders and members of DP Dega Kukës!
First of all, I express my satisfaction that for so long we have been aligned together in defense of the interests of Kuksi citizens, presenting the situation and openly and forcefully denouncing harmful phenomena produced by corruption, ignorance and government contempt. I thank all of you, without exception, for the support given even recently that you have unanimously proposed me to be a candidate for the partial local elections on September 24 for mayor in the Kukës Municipality. With boundless gratitude, respect and appreciation for each of you!
Dear citizens, residents of Kuka Municipality and especially you who supported me with your vote on May 14, 2023!
Despite the fact that I did not manage to be elected president, your vote showed that there is still hope in Kukës, there is citizen resistance and faith in the overthrow of the regime of the dictatorship of corruption and crime.
Despite the endless calls and insistence from you, the remarks or disagreements of a limited number of individuals (who campaign with spirit and the vast majority of them to appear in the DP) to run on September 24, 2023; I have decided: not to compete in these elections.
I joined the battle of May 14, 2023 in respect of myself, my family, Kukes and Albania, being convinced that only with activity and proactive contribution against the evil and tyranny of corruption do we do our patriotic duty, intellectual and human service, to the country and our people.
I was aware that I was facing a heavy state and parapolitical machinery as I was competing with one of the people and structures most favored by the dirty money of corruption as well as strongly supported by all cells of the state and power at the center and base; however, we did not panic, we faced it, but the criminal deviation did its own thing: it robbed the victory of the citizenship and the screaming need of Kukës for change. What my colleagues and I said openly and pointedly were confirmed quickly and in some form, what the deviant vote did not accomplish, the vice ended, that is, 7 days after the recycling and 40 days after the deviant confirmation, Kukësi was freed from an invader who had killed his democracy, free speech and vote.
Found in these conditions when the opposing side has already thrown "into the ring" a candidate who is very different from the first one, when the current situation is extremely positive and favorable for the opposition, especially in Kukës, when fortunately also from of the democrats, we already have a large number of optimistic candidates for inclusion in the candidacy and confidence in victory, when a new political reality is taking shape (local union with holders of the DP seal), some other personal reasons as well as due to of my political worldview, I am convinced that the opposition in Kukës and PD will not feel my non-candidacy at all.
Duke i uruar secilit nga kandidatëve suksese në primare dëshiroj të përzgjidhet më i miri/a në mënyrë që jo vetëm të sigurohet fitorja e shumëpritur e Bashkisë por edhe të kemi garanci për një qeverisje të drejtë, të aftë e njerëzore, si dhe në karrigen e kryebashkiakut të ulet një person që nuk ka bërë apo nuk bën kompromise/pazare me mundin dhe djersën e demokratëve.
Ftoj të gjithë demokratët dhe uroj që proçesi i primareve të na shërbejë për bashkim, konsolidim dhe energji pozitive.
Këtë vendim ia kam bërë të ditur edhe kryetarit të PDSH Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha të cilin e falenderoj pafundësisht për inkurajimin dhe mbështetjen e dhënë ndaj meje dhe Kukësit në mënyrë të pandërprerë, si dhe e kam siguruar Atë që kontributi im nuk do t'i mungojë asnjëherë PD dhe vendit për asnjë arsye.
From the bottom of my heart, I hope that Kukësi will vote for the PD candidate on September 24!
