The 3rd anniversary of the arrest of the former leaders of the KLA, Kurti: We
Albin Kurti

On the three-year anniversary of the indictment against the former superiors of the Kosovo Liberation Army by the Special Court in The Hague, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has accused the past governments of mistakes which, according to him, are weighing on and damaging today.

At the meeting of the Vetëvendosje Movement held on Sunday, Kurti said that the belief that the KLA is fair and rich has not changed even today.

He mentioned his fellow party member, Rexhep Selimi, describing him as the 10th member of the KLA.

"Let's all do more together and go to grade 10, let's go to 10, nothing less than excellent can be our goal. Speaking of the 10th, before talking about the achievements, results and successes of our government, I would like to fondly remember our friend and collaborator, the freedom fighter, the 10th of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Rexhep Selimi. Rexhep Selimi has been suffering in The Hague prison for three years now. Our MP since 2010, when he first decided to participate in the elections, always victorious, always liberating. We can't wait to have it back. We remain unwavering in our belief that the just Liberation Army is also clean, that's why we opposed the unjust judgments when they were decided, but the mistakes of the past governments still weigh and still hurt", said Kurti.

In this meeting, Kurti also mentioned the activist of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Astrit Dehari, who died seven years ago while being held in custody in Prizren.

He said that justice may be delayed and obstructed, but it will not be forgotten.

"The killing of hundreds of idealists in the prisons of Kosovo and abroad, before the war or on the battlefields during the war, brought their order which is called freedom. Meanwhile, the murder of Mon Balaj, Arben Xheladini and Astri Dehar after the war, adds an even higher order to our freedom, that of democracy and justice. It should never be forgotten that after sublime sacrifice in the face of injustice, justice does not come. The fact that Kosovo has activist sons and daughters, friends of Astrit, gives us assurance that we will have justice. It may delay and may be hindered from outside and inside the system, but it will not forget and will not be forgotten. Astriti today is missed by the Movement as a tireless and fearless activist that he was, but Kosovo also misses him because today he would be a young doctor very well prepared in our hospitals and in the policy making for health in Kosovo", he said. .
