Adi Krasta, Deputy General Director of RTK has reacted after the attacks of the last few days. During an interview on the "RTK Prime" show, speaking about the latest developments, he said that the public broadcaster should not take hasty steps and under pressure from anyone.
"The story of punishment is not primary. We are not a police institution, removing heads is not primary for us. This story of dismissal is an old culture in RTK and in other institutions where there are Albanians, who seek the solution by removing someone from the position. The problem is not solved, but a decision is made to destabilize people. I am interested in choosing the problem", said Krasta.
He said that after the publication of an article quoted by the medium from Bosnia and Herzegovina, they created a collegium of professionals. "We have created a collegium of important people who know from the profession. We have set an immediate filter and said never again in the future RTK cannot handle a news that it creates itself or receives from other sources when it has great sensitivities without the agreement of this collegium, so it will not it happens anymore", Krasta said, adding that an emotional treatment for, as he said, beheading for punishment is inappropriate and unfair.
As for the statement of the former chairman of the RTK Board, Besnik Boletini, that Adi Krasta as Deputy General Director avoided the responsibility to act in accordance with the report of the Ad-Hoc Commission regarding this case, he said that 'the chairman of the Board should not allow itself to define such a dramatic character, because there are certain systems within the institution".
Krasta clarified that the Deputy General Director in similar cases takes corrective measures, and that according to him, they have now been taken.
Krasta further said that one should never be hasty in making decisions, because, according to him, it is more important to be conscious than to be a runner and give solutions of a sensational character.
"RTK must come out with a written position, and this can be done by me, by my colleagues, by the General Director or the General Director when elected. These are problems that RTK solves on its own and should not be solved due to external pressure", Krasta underlined.
He said that RTK will do the real analysis with the aim of learning from all that happens to it, big and small things, according to him often appropriate and often inappropriate, in order to grow.
Krasta: RTK will not become a target to solve other people's battles
The deputy general director of RTK, Adi Krasta, said that public television cannot become a target to solve other people's battles.
“Ne do të dimë që këto procese t’i bëjmë të thella, të vërteta, të ndershme dhe në kohën e duhur”, nënvizoi Krasta.

Krasta mes tjerash shpalosi mendimin e tij privat duke thënë se “as më shkon në mend ta besoj se në Kosovë ka njerëz që paguhen nga Serbia, sepse patriotizmi brirë nuk ka. Ne e duam këtë vend dhe në këtë vend kanë vdekur njerëz.”
“Nuk mund të bëhet RTK target për të zgjidhur beteja të tjerëve”, tha Krasta, teksa pyeti se interesi i kujt do të ishte që të destabilizohej RTK-ja, siç po destabilizohet aktualisht”, tha Krasta.
Krasta: Nuk ushtroj funksionin e Drejtorit të Përgjithshëm të RTK-së
Adi Krastai tha se RTK është tipikisht transmetues publik, i cili ballafaqohet herë pas here më ngjarje të natyrave të ndryshme, sepse në strukturën e ndërtuar të institucionit ka një lloj lirie relative komunikimi, ka independencë në marrjen e vendimeve dhe është pothuajse e pamundur për t’u kthyer në koncepte diktatoriale ku kontrollohet një lajm apo një mënyrë e të menduari apo të një mënyre e të shprehuri për t’ju shmangur debateve që mund të bëhen më vonë.
Ai tha se ndjehet i kënaqur që në Kosovë po bëhet një debat kaq pasionant për standardet gazetareske.
Tutje, Krasta qartësoi pozicionin e tij në RTK, duke bërë të ditur ushtron funksionin si zëvendësdrejtor i përgjithshëm dhe që mohoi se dëshiron të ushtrojë një funksion çfarë është ai drejtorit të përgjithshëm i transmetuesit publik, teksa shtoi se u.d. i drejtorit të përgjithshëm merret me një autorizim të nënshkruar nga Bordi.
“Që unë të bëhem u.d. drejtor i përgjithshëm do të duhej që Bordi të marrë një vendim që të kalojë kuorumin e përshtatshëm, sepse zëvendësdrejtori i përgjithshëm është në detyrë dhe do të drejtojmë derisa Bordi dhe këtu mbështesë jashtëzakonisht shumë ndjeshmërinë e OSBE-së, institucion që ka ndihmuar RTK-në dhe në përgjithësi transmetuesit publikë, që Parlamenti, Komisioni i Medias me shpejtësi shumë të madhe duhet plotësojë Bordin që ky organ të zgjedhë Drejtorin e Përgjithshëm të RTK-së”, tha Krasta, derisa sqaroi se ka kompetenca të Drejtorit të Përgjithshëm të RTK-së.
Lidhur me deklaratën e ish-kryetarit të Bordit të RTK-së kundrejt Krastës, për ç’arsye erdhi deri te dorëheqja e kryetarit të Bordit, Krasta tha se zakonisht bëhen gabime edhe nga kolegët, të cilët, hedhin emra, tregojnë ngjarje gjysmake me qëllim që të jenë bindës në narrativat e tyre në pjesë të caktuara të publikut, bile jo të publikut të gjerë, por për grupe interesi.”
