"The perpetrators of Banjska would attack the police stations",

The Foreign Secretary of Great Britain, David Cameron, on Tuesday afternoon while reporting to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament, has shown again that the terrorist attack in Banjska and the meeting with the British troops who have landed in Kosovo as part of KFOR- it, was among the main reasons for the major visit, the first week of the year.

Cameron is still tight-lipped about detailing exactly what happened in Banjska on September 24, 2023. He is confident that an even bigger attack was prevented.

"The Banjska attack could have been a serious event, if you see the number of weapons brought to Kosovo and the number of people, if this group had not been prevented by the operation of the Kosovo Police, it would have resembled a series of attacks against stations of the Kosovo Police, checkpoints. They were not just weapons but heavy lethal equipment, so if you are talking about the dangers of these, based on our knowledge... then I am very aware of what the danger was and that was one of the reasons why I wanted to go to Kosovo, to to meet with KFOR and to meet with the commanders, the British troops and make an assessment about what happened", David Cameron stated.

The British secretary has not spared from expressing the current position of the United Kingdom, and somewhat also of other allies towards Serbia, which is still subject to investigations as to whether the country had a hand in the September 24 aggression.

"We must express great frustration with the attitude of the Government of Serbia. We have not changed our opinion that we should give Serbia an opportunity to have Euro-Atlantic goals, and we have not changed our opinion that if they want a future, it should be offered to them. But I sense a growing frustration that they behave in this way and do these things, and we have to be clear about that. I don't know if the EU and the US feel the same frustration, you have to ask them, but I noticed nervousness among them during the talks because what happened in Banjska was an extraordinary risk", he said.

The case of Banjska and not only, according to Cameron, should serve the West to review its approach to developments in the Western Balkans, of course also in Kosovo, convinced of Russia's destabilization goals, for which he said he is using its tools in the Balkans, including Serbia.

"The position of the West towards Kosovo and the Western Balkans was taken at a time before the Russian invasion of Ukraine and we have to think a lot about what has changed because obviously Russia wants to do more to destabilize the Balkans, it wants to do more through tools of her, including Serbia, wants to turn that area into a less safe place, so we have to raise our game, about what we can do to defeat it", said the British Foreign Secretary.

During Tuesday's reporting, it was officially announced that one of the 5 allied countries, not the United Kingdom, has completed a detailed report on the events of September 24 in Banjska i Zveçani, but is unwilling to disclose the findings. I clanked
