The candidate for mayor of Pristina from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Përparim Rama, said he hopes that "the best person wins" in the race for the capital in today's runoff.
After voting shortly before noon, Rama also said he wanted to thank "all citizens for the maturity and prudence they have shown in these elections."
"I hope that the citizens will take advantage of this day. They have shown maturity and prudence. Citizens vote for the future of the capital. We have done a wonderful job over these years. We have worked on projects that have transformed the capital. We need another four years to complete this major project for the capital."
"In addition to the vote for the capital, it is a vote for the progress of our country. We vote on whether there will be a blocking direction, or a direction of progress. I hope that citizens vote for development, progress, for partnership with our American, European and world partners," said Rama.
