Runoff in Kosovo, citizens of 18 municipalities head to the ballot boxes today

Citizens in 18 municipalities in Kosovo head to the ballot boxes today, November 9, to elect new mayors. Voting centers opened at 07:00 and are expected to close at 19:00.

The mayoral runoff is being held in the following municipalities: Gjakova, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klina, Fushë Kosovë, South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Rahovec, Peja, Prishtina, Prizren, Suhareka, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamushë and Kllokot.

Over 1 million citizens have the right to vote.

The electoral process will take place in 525 voting centers, with a total of 1,648 polling stations, of which 507 centers with 1,628 polling stations for regular voting.

Meanwhile, for conditional voting there will be 18 centers, one for each municipality, with 20 polling stations, according to the Kosovo Election Commission.
